Early Dance is your child's first exposure to dance. Classes are structured to help students build on their motor skills and musical awareness by teaching the basic principles of both ballet and tap dance.
CURRICULUM
The Early Dance division is open to students ages 3 through 5 at the beginning of the school year (and six year olds who have not entered first grade). Students are placed in classes based primarily on their age, while taking their experience into account.
The School offers a free trial class to all new students. It is recommended that students take advantage of this class before enrolling.
Creative Movement Ages 3 through 4 (must be 3 by September 1)
An introduction to ballet & tap, Creative Movement is designed to teach basic dance steps and proper terminology while developing the students large motor skills, musical awareness and appreciation for dance using classical and contemporary music.

INSTRUCTOR-STUDENT CONTACT
The Rock School offers teaching that is individual and hands-on. It is normal and appropriate for a member of the faculty to manually and physically position a pupil to expound a point of instruction or to identify some needed technique correction. The School neither condones nor tolerates any touching of students by instructors that is harmful, professionally reckless, or that violates generally accepted tenets of propriety. Before enrolling a student, please consider that it is school policy to correct children with physical contact. If the student or parent/guardian is uncomfortable with this policy, you may wish to reconsider enrolling the student.
